Our Neighbourhood Guide: Dublin

It’s St Patrick Day so we asked the lovely ladies at our concession in Arnotts, Dublin to give us their insider tips on how to make the most of your trip to the city. From vintage cocktail bars, to the perfect brunch before a hard day of shopping, we have the best activities to keep you entertained – whether you are here for a day out or lucky enough to be on a weekend break. Also our consultants share their favourite new season pieces from our Spring/Summer collection.

What is the one must-see place to visit in Dublin?

Jameson Distillery – a must-see for a visitor (or even a local) is the guided tour of Jameson’s whiskey distillery. Combining great storytelling with hands-on activities and captivating theatrical effects, this tour is perfectly finished with a little whiskey tasting!

Where is your favourite place for a spot of brunch?

Third space café easily does the best brunches in Dublin. The hardest part is deciding whether to have the pancakes, eggs Florentine or French toast – you definitely won’t be leaving hungry!

Any insider tips on restaurants/bars to try?

The best restaurant for a relaxed vibe is the Wishbone on Camden Street. Their menu is all based around chicken wings – they do an amazing salted apple caramel sauce to dip them in! We always finish our meal with their legendary Ferrero Rocher cheesecake. After filling yourself fill with a delicious dinner the next stop has to be the Vintage Cocktail Club. This is the perfect intimate gathering place for an after work catch up, pre-show cocktails, that secret rendezvous or even a late night party!

Your favourite spot for relaxing after a hard day of shopping?

Westin Hotel for afternoon tea is perfect after a busy day on your feet shopping – it is an oasis of calm in the city centre. It has an internal courtyard with a five-storey high glass roof, which enables you to sit snugly beneath the skies. It is especially amazing at night when you can see the stars!

Any activities you’d recommend doing in the area?

Visiting one the many great vintage stores – there are lots dotted around the city and they are full of lovely dresses and quirky furniture.

Your favourite thing about where you live?

Walking to walk – it is really scenic and is a lovely way to start the day, especially walking by St Stephens Green. Dublin is a great city to stroll around as it is not too big.
